The 9th Infantry Division would like to recognize our members who are currently serving in the United States Armed Forces.

Purpose:     As interpreters of the past, historians hold the responsibility of guarding historical truth and authenticity. It is through critical analysis that the purpose of history is defined; it is the study of the past in order to understand our current situation, and hopefully predict the future. With this in mind, members of the 9th realize that the past does indeed affect our modern lives. Historical themes like service and duty are just as relevant today as they were 70 years ago. Whether helping our countrymen as citizens or soldiers we not only perpetuate the historically universal theme of service, but also assure the blessings of liberty to our posterity.

    Members of the 9th Infantry Division take pride in volunteering for our American fighting men and women serving overseas. Assembling care packages serves as an accessible means for citizens wanting to be a part of something greater.

    Operation Gratitude seeks to lift morale and put smiles on faces by sending care packages addressed to individual Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines deployed overseas. Operation Gratitude care packages contain food, hygiene products, entertainment items and personal letters of appreciation, all wrapped with good wishes of love and support.
