Welcome to Company E. 39th Infantry Regiment. We are taking recruits now! Join the ranks and serve your beloved country against the evil Axis empire. Freedom will prevail and we need YOU to fight beside us for freedom! We will fight together, die together, and win together. We will march with pride into the battlefield and beat those kraut bastards together. Anything, Anywhere, Anytime, bar-none!
Honor World War II veterans and history of the World. Reenacting is an extremely rewarding hobby. You will have opportunies to bond with many people just like yourself, learn the ways of a soldier in combat and in garrison, portray people that actually existed in historical events, be a part of history, master the skills of weaponry and teamwork, and maybe even be a part in the next Hollywood motion picture!
RESEARCH
Reading and owning a copy of the unit primer is required by all new members. It will not only give prospective members insight in to the reenacting hobby, but also critical information for a more historically accurate impression. At your first event, you will be provided a copy of this informational packet. Click the image of the packet above to see the unit primer.
All members are also required to have a basic, well rounded knowledge of their World War Two impression. This includes but is not limited to an understanding of World War Two history, gear, clothing, etc. Though the 9th takes part in private tactical events, we also strive to present an appropriate educational experience for the general populous at public events. In addition to the Unit Primer, you can find much more information at our Reseach page, including digital scans of World War Two manuals. We strongly recommend that all members download and read a copy of Field Manual FM 21-100.
MEMBERSHIP PROCESS
To be accepted as a member, all prospective individuals must attend a minimum of three events. One of these must be a private battle, while the other two can be either private or public events. Of the three, attending a social unit gathering (such as a day of gun cleaning, training, etc.) is also acceptable. When these steps are completed, the pending membership of an individual will be decided by the unit leader and the consent of other senior members.

Joining is easy! The 9th Infantry Division has NO annual dues. We are all members of the California Historical Group, based mainly in Southern California.
